Pitching and Hitting Mechanics
by Brian Grant
10 years of professional playing experience
8 years of coaching and currently at Concordia University
Where are power and speed produced throughout the mechanics of throwing a pitch and hitting a baseball? These are the most common problems that young players need to work out early in their playing days in order to translate their athleticism into success down the road.
The instruction that players will receive while working with Brian will focus on how to correctly utilize their legs and core muscles for power and their hands and arms for speed and accuracy. Also, they will be put through various core and leg strengthening workouts which they will be able to do on their own without the use of weights. They will be taught how to maximize their athleticism to throw and hit with more power while learning how to understand control as well.
